In the style of....famous artists
Here at the art room Sunderland, I endeavour to support you as you embark on this rewarding valuable journey over this 4-month course in fine art inspired by famous artists. Here I will provide stimulating first rate tuition on four artists; Van Gogh, Da Vinci, Picasso, and Toulouse Lautrec. Every lesson is designed to develop your understanding of the arts and help you take on your own artist inspirations and passions.
At the art room its paramount to provide a warm safe workspace primed for ensuring you are comfortable and content as you learn. My location is very welcoming, as am I!
I am an experienced art teacher who cultivates engaging and energetic mentoring for you to ensure that you develop confidence and feel empowered by your artistic journey. By the end of the course you will experiment with different mediums and learn from the artists that came before you. You will dive into the vivid world of painting on canvas inspired by Van Goghs exciting brushwork, you will produce a contemporary collage piece inspired by Da Vincis masterpiece the Mona Lisa, you will create oil pastel portraits directly motivated by the works by the founding father of cubism Pablo Picasso and finally you will be educated in the use of pastels to create spirited drawings inspired by Toulouse Lautrec.
By the end of the course, you will be proudly showing friends and family the work you have created and will have made some great friends too! You can book the full course or individual classes here:
Taster Sessions at the Art Room
Sunday January 11th 2-4pm £10pp
Come and have a go at watercolour painting at the Art Room. These taster sessions are designed for people who want to get into painting but are not so sure where to start. All materials and tuition are included. We will be creating beautiful paintings of houseplants.
Sunday 25th January 2-4pm £10pp
Steam punk sketching taster day! Learn to draw a steam punk skull using a variety and techniques. Perfect for beginners or people looking to improve their sketching.

FIND YOUR INNER ARTIST

Why do you love art? Why do you want to be creative? What does art mean to you? What kind of artist do you want to be?
These are all questions that will be explored over this 3 week art combining practical tasks with art theory to explore what art means to us. It will be an intensive course that will hopefully point you in the right direction on your art journey. You will document all your findings and experiments in a sketchbook that will form the start of a very exciting adventure into art! All materials and inspiration included in the price!
