Opportunities for schools
The Art Room offers unique workshops to enhance and encourage creativity through art and design and technology education. I bring a pop-up art room to schools, community groups and businesses across the North East. I can tailor sessions to suit a particular theme or book to fit in with the class curriculum. I offer an AM, PM, full day or longer project commitment. You may want to choose a particular skill such as drawing, watercolours or sculpture to suit. Each workshop is differentiated and tailored to suit the needs of the class or group.
How much does it cost?
Prices start from as little as £150 for tuition fees plus materials costs (you can always provide your own materials if you have them). Materials are priced per class and are dependent upon which workshop you choose i.e. illustration or print making etc.
Staff CPD and wellbeing
I offer staff CPD and wellbeing sessions at schools and other organisations. Cupboards full of materials but unsure how to make best use of them? I will provide resources and advice on how to include more art within the curriculum, boost staff confidence and ability to deliver art lessons, project planning, classroom management in practical sessions, ideas generation and skills sessions. I also run art and wellbeing sessions for local businesses to use as a relaxation tool and to help with mental health awareness and team building.

All of my workshop packages have a fixed tuition fee + materials costs depending on how many pupils participate etc... Each workshop is differentiated to suit the class theme/ topic, the skills focus of that particular key stage, and the individual needs of the children in that group. Enhanced DBS checks are available on request and public liability insurance.
