Hello and welcome to my website all about The Art Room.

What is it all about?

I am an art teacher that has created an art room at my studio in Sunderland city centre and various schools, community groups, cafes, CICs, collages, art galleries..... in order to teach a range of art and craft lessons. I love learning and I love creating. Those are my 2 passions in life and 'The Art Room' helps me to pass on my knowledge and experience to new artists young and young at heart.

A little about me......

 

After studying fine art and design and technology at University, I went on to do my teacher training qualifications (QTS). I have been teaching in primary and secondary schools for close to 15 years now and recently moved over to teach in art galleries and museums too as well as schools and my studio. I absolutely love my subject, I love teaching and I love the north east of England which is why I have opened up the Art Room in Sunderland. I am also a member of the steering group for PATERN - the Primary Arts Teacher and Educator Regional Network as well as a registered centre for art award.
